ABSTRACT A shrink bag having an integral carrying handle is provided that includes an extended skirt portion of the bag of a heat shrinkable thermoplastic material and having a carrying hole in the skirt portion with an essentially continuous heat seal around its margin. the carrying hole having a configuration which helps to distribute stress and substantially eliminates tearpropagation. The bag is particularly adapted for packaging whole turkeys and the like and, to this end. the integral carrying handle is preferably located atthe breast containing end of the bag.
