A mixture of (R) and (S)-2-(4-alkanoylphenoxy)- or (R)- and (S)-2-(4-aroylphenoxy)propionic esters (I), (R1 = aryl, alkyl, aralkyl; R2 = alkyl) with an enamtiometric excess of at least 90 % is prepared by reacting a mixture of (R) and (S) enantiomer of a 2-phenoxypropionic ester (II), in which the appropriate (R) or (S) isomer is present in excess, with a carboxylic acid derivative of the formula (III): R1-CO-X, (X = OH, halogen, R1COO or sulfonyloxy) in the presence of a Friedel-Crafts catalyst. The (R)- or (S)-2-(4-alkanoylphenoxy)propionic esters and (R)- or (S)-2-(4-hydroxyphenoxy)propionic esters are used for preparing crop protection agents and drugs.

Mélange d'esters (R)- et(S)-2-(4-alcanoylphénoxy)- ou (R)- et (S)-2-(4-aroylphénoxy)propioniques de formule (I), (R<1> = aryle, alkyle, aralkyle; R<2> = alkyle), présentant un excédant énantiomère d'au moins 90 %. Ce mélange est préparé par la mise en réaction d'un énantiomère (R) et (S) d'un ester 2-phénoxy-propionique de formule (II), dans laquelle l'isomère (R) ou (S) approprié est présent en une quantité excédentaire, avec un dérivé d'acide carboxylique de la formule (III): R<1>-CO-X, (X = OH, halogène, R<1>COO ou sulfonyloxy), en présence d'un catalyseur de Friedel-Crafts. Les esters (R)- or (S)-2-(4-alcanoylphénoxy)propioniques et (R)- ou (S)-2-(4-hydroxyphénoxy)propioniques sont utilisés pour la préparation de médicaments et d'agents de protection des récoltes.
