In order to assist an exchange of data between one or mobile communications devices and the Internet in a mobile communications network, bidirectional tunneling of IPv6 messages inside IPv4 messages is performed between a home agent and one or more foreign agents. Optionally, where a mobile communications device is a wireless mobile unit, the mobile unit itself automatically engages in bidirectional tunneling of IPv6 messages inside IPv4 messages with the home agent whenever the wireless mobile unit detects loss of wireless coverage in the mobile communications network and presence of coverage in a type of wireless network lacking foreign agent functionality.
Afin de faciliter un échange de données entre un ou plusieurs dispositifs de communications mobiles et l'Internet dans un réseau de communications mobiles, on effectue une transmission tunnel bidirectionnelle de messages IPv6 à l'intérieur de messages IPv4 entre un agent domestique et un ou plusieurs agents étrangers. Eventuellement, lorsque le dispositif de communications mobile est une unité mobile radio, cette unité mobile radio s'engage elle-même automatiquement dans la transmission tunnel bidirectionnelle de messages IPv6 à l'intérieur de messages IPv4 avec l'agent domestique chaque fois que l'unité mobile radio détecte la perte de couverture radio dans le réseau de communications mobiles et la présence de couverture dans une fonctionnalité d'agent étranger n'ayant pas de réseau radio.
