This invention concerns a monolithic piezo actuator with multilayer construction with a high aspect ratio of more than two. The actuator is built of several smaller stacks in a multilayer construction. By sintering them together, a monolithic piezo actuator is obtained which has improved mechanical strength with good piezoelectric properties.

Selon l'invention, il est proposé, pour obtenir un actionneur piézo ayant une structure multicouche et présentant un rapport longueur/largeur supérieur à deux, de former ledit actionneur de plusieurs piles plus petites à structure multicouche. En effectuant un frittage commun, on obtient un actionneur piézo monolithique qui présente à la fois une résistance mécanique améliorée et de bonnes propriétés piézo-électriques.
