ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The bullet for a gun having a rifled barrel has a head part made of lead, a cylindrical part and a transitional part connecting the head part and the cylindrical part. Without impairing the accuracy of the fired bullet's travel, a plurality of longitudinal grooves (4) are provided in the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical part (3) to form a plurality of outer members (5) in the cylindrical part (3). The outer members (5) have a width (B) in a circumferential direction on the outer peripheral surface unequally larger than a width (b) of the longitudinal grooves in the circumferential direction. The longitudinal grooves have an opposite twist relative to a rifling provided in the rifled gun barrel. The bullet can be made of radially compressible material and the transitional part is shaped like a truncated cone.
