Disclosed herein are peptide derivatives of the formula A-B-D-CH2CH[CH2C(O)R1]C(O)-NHCH[CR2(R3)COOH]C(O)-E wherein A is a terminal group, for example an optionally substituted phenylalkanoyl; and B is an N-methyl amino acid residue; or A and B together form a saturated or unsaturated alkylamino-carbonyl; D is an amino acid residue; R1 is alkyl, cycloalkyl, a monosubstituted or a disubstituted amino; R2 is hydrogen or alkyl and R3 is alkyl; or R2 is hydrogen and R3 is phenylalkyl, or R2 and R3 are joined to form a cycloalkyl; and E is a terminal unit, for example, an alkylamino or a monovalent amino acid radical such as NHCH(alkyl)C(O)4H. The derivatives are useful for treating herpes infections.

On décrit des dérivés peptidiques de formule A-B-D-CH2CH{CH2C(O)R1}C(O)-NHCH{CR2(R3)COOH}C(O)-E dans laquelle A est un groupe terminal, par exemple un phénylalcanoyle éventuellement substitué, et dans laquelle B représente un reste d'acide aminé de N-méthyle; A ou B peuvent aussi constituer ensemble un alkylaminocarbonyle saturé ou non; D représente un reste d'acide aminé; R1 représente alkyle, cycloalkyle, un amino monosubstitué ou disubstitué; R2 représente hydrogène ou alkyle et R3 représente alkyle, ou bien R2 représente hydrogène et R3 phénylalkyle, ou bien R2 et R3 sont associés pour former un cycloalkyle; et E représente une unité terminale, par exemple un alkylamino ou un radical d'acide aminé monovalent tel que NHCH(alkyle)C(O)OH. Ces dérivés sont utiles pour traiter les infections herpétiques.
