23233-254 ABSTRACT The invention relates to novel substituted 3-amino- sydnone imines of the general formula I Image (I) (I) in which n denotes 0 or 1, and their pharmacologically acceptable salts and acid addition salts. The compounds possess useful pharmacological properties. For example, they are able to release nitric oxide under physiological conditions and thus to increase the antiaggregatory, antiadhesive and muscle-relaxing effect of endothelium-derived relaxing factor (EDRF). They are consequently useful for the treatment of angina pectoris and for the prevention and treatment of thromboses.
