The invention relates to the field of what are called "rotating-fireball" multiple-chamber furnaces, for the firing of carbon blocks, and, more particularly, to a shutter (13) having an inflatable seal (16), for a port (8) of a hollow partition (7) in a rotating-fireball multiple-chamber furnace, characterized in that its shutter comprises: a rigid core (14), of substantially rectangular elongate shape, intended to be placed opposite a port (8) of a hollow partition (7) in said furnace, so as to shut off most of the flow area for gas entering via said port (8); and at least one inflatable air chamber (15), retracted in the deflated state in a housing for the core (14) and forming, in the inflated state, a peripheral seal (16) projecting around the perimeter of the core (14); and in that said seal (16) goes around almost its entire periphery so as to complete the shutting-off of said port (8).
L'invention concerne le domaine des fours à chambres dits à feu tournant , pour la cuisson de blocs carbonés,et, plus particulièrement, un obturateur (13) à joint d'étanchéité gonflable (16), pour lucarne (8) de cloison creuse (7) de four à chambres dit à feu tournant , caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend: une âme (14) rigide, de forme sensiblement rectangulaire allongée, destinée à être disposée en regard d'une lucarne (8) de cloison creuse (7) dudit four, afin d'obturer la majeure partie de la section de passage de gaz par ladite lucarne (8), et; au moins une chambre à air (15) gonflable, escamotée à l'état dégonflé dans un logement de l'âme (14), et formant, à l'état gonflé, un joint d'étanchéité périphérique (16), faisant saillie autour du pourtour de l'âme (14), que ledit joint (16) entoure sur toute sa périphérie afin de compléter l'obturation de ladite lucarne (8).
