A method and system for enabling navigation of a directory. The method includes printing a document containing a list of directory entries corresponding to at least one node of an index of the directory, with at least one user interactive element which enables a user to indicate a request for further directory information by interacting with the element using a sensing device which is adapted to transmit request data to a computer system; and printing the further directory information on a document.

L'invention se rapporte à un procédé et à un système permettant d'explorer un répertoire. Ledit procédé consiste à imprimer un document contenant une liste d'entrées du répertoire correspondant à au moins un noeud d'un index du répertoire, au moyen d'au moins un élément interactif utilisateur qui permet à un utilisateur de formuler une demande pour d'autres informations relatives au répertoire en interagissant avec ledit élément au moyen d'un dispositif de détection qui est conçu pour transmettre les données de la demande à un système informatique; puis à imprimer les autres informations relatives au répertoire sur un document.
