The present invention relates to the inhalation delivery of aerosols containing small particles. Specifically, it relates to the delivery of drug containing aerosols having particles with a mass median aerodynamic diameter less than 1 ~ for inhalation therapy. In a composition aspect of the present invention the drug containing aerosol comprises particles having a mass median aerodynamic diameter between 10 nm and 1 ~. Preferably, the particles have a mass median aerodynamic diameter between 10 nm and 900 nm. More preferably, the particles have a mass median aerodynamic diameter between 10 nm and 800 nm, 10 nm and 700 nm, 10 nm and 600 nm, 10 nm and 500 nm, 10 nm and 400 nm, 10 nm and 300 nm, 10 nm and 200nm, 10 nm and 100 nm.
L'invention concerne l'administration par inhalation d'aérosols contenant de petites particules. Plus particulièrement, l'invention concerne l'administration d'aérosols, dans le cadre d'une inhalothérapie, renfermant des médicaments, les particules de ces aérosols présentant un diamètre aérodynamique moyen en masse inférieur à 1 µ. Selon un aspect de composition, l'aérosol renfermant un médicament comprend des particules dont le diamètre aérodynamique moyen en masse est compris entre 10 nm et 1 µ. De préférence, ces particules présentent un diamètre aérodynamique moyen en masse compris entre 10 et 900 nm. Plus préférablement, ces particules présentent un diamètre aérodynamique moyen compris entre 10 et 800 nm, 10 et 700 nm, 10 et 600 nm, 10 et 500 nm, 10 et 400 nm, 10 et 300 nm, 10 et 200nm, et 10 et 100 nm.
