The present invention provides a food product comprising an encapsulated satiety agent and at least 2%wt protein, excluding any protein present as or in the encapsulated satiety agent, wherein the satiety agent is encapsulated by cross-linked encapsulation material and further wherein upon consumption of the food product by a subject the satiety agent is predominantly released from the encapsulation material in the intestines of that subject. Also provided is a method of preparing the food product. The food product may be used in a weight loss or weight control plan, e.g. such as a meal replacer or weight control product.
L'invention concerne un produit alimentaire comprenant un agent de satiété encapsulé ainsi qu'au moins 2 % en poids de protéines, à l'exclusion de toute protéine qui constitue l'agent de satiété encapsulé ou qui est contenue dans cet agent de satiété encapsulé. Selon l'invention, l'agent de satiété est encapsulé à l'aide d'un matériau d'encapsulation réticulé. En outre, lorsqu'un sujet consomme le produit alimentaire, l'agent de satiété est principalement libéré du matériau d'encapsulation, dans les intestins du sujet. Cette invention se rapporte en outre à un procédé de préparation dudit produit alimentaire. Ce produit alimentaire peut être utilisé dans le cadre d'un programme de perte pondérale ou de surveillance pondérale, par exemple en tant que substitut de repas ou produit de surveillance pondérale.
