A compound electrolytic loudspeaker (10) comprising two major elements: a capacitive transducer (12) and a transducer driver unit (116). The capacitive transducer (12) consist of a compound diaphragm (14) that is suspended within a frame assembly (84) and which consists of a front stator (16) having a front stator electrode (32), a rear stator (34) having a rear stator electrode (50), and a center diaphragm (54) having a diaphragm electrode (68). The electrodes interface with the transducer driver unit (116) which receives and amplifies an audio signal applied from a receiver-amplifier (126). The amplified audio signal drives the capacitive transducer (12) in synchrony with the reveived audio. The capacitive transducer (12) is designed to be used singularly or be positioned in several selectable placement configurations including a side-by- side configuration, a stacked vertical configuration and in a horizontal configuration wherein an inner surface (88) of a first frame assembly (84) abuts with an outer surface (90) of a second frame assembly (84).
La présente invention concerne un haut-parleur électrolytique composé (10) comportant deux éléments principaux: un transducteur capacitif (12) et un étage d'attaque de transducteur (116). Le transducteur capacitif (12) comprend un diaphragme composite (14) suspendu dans un bâti (84), comportant un stator antérieur (16) pourvu d'une électrode de stator antérieur (32), un stator postérieur (34) pourvu d'une électrode de stator postérieur (50), et un diaphragme central (54) pourvu d'une électrode à diaphragme (68). Ces électrodes sont reliées à l'étage d'attaque de transducteur (116) qui reçoit et amplifie un signal audio appliqué par un récepteur-amplificateur (126). Le signal audio amplifié commande le transducteur capacitif (12) en synchrone avec le signal audio reçu. Le transducteur capacitif (12) est conçu pour être utilisé seul ou placé selon plusieurs configurations de placement différentes, notamment une configuration côte à côte, une configuration verticale empilée et une configuration horizontale dans laquelle la surface interne (88) d'un premier bâti (88) juxtaposant la surface externe (90) d'un second bâti (84).
