23443-407 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Statistical, unsaturated 2-block copolymers comprising 25 to 75% butadiene, 5 to 65% isoprene and 3 to 35% styrene and a process for their manufacture is disclosed. The polymers vulcanise rapidly and possess high skid resistance under wet conditions combined with low abrasion. They are especially useful for the manufacture of tyre treads and may be used for producing new tyres as well as for retreading old tyres.
