A method which allows users to send text messages in any natural language in an electronic form and get back a list of other messages semantically matching theirs, consisting of a message processing station, a grammar, a vocabulary and dictionaries, all of which are shared between users. Messages consist of fields which are built as free text and follow a grammar which requires them to have a tree-like structure and to use words picked up from a dictionary. Messages are semantically compared with one another using subtree matching and their authors are notified if any of the following is true: - one message offers/requests what the other requests/offers - one message announces/affirms what the other waits for - a message's author thinks or feels what the other message's author expects from him/her
