The invention relates to a device for detecting and reporting fire phenomena, particularly sparks (15) in a gas stream that might be charged with solid particles and flows through a conveyance line, by means of a displacement body that extends longitudinally in the flow direction of the conveyance line, consisting of the displacement body (1) disposed on a shaft (14), a deflector (3) disposed at one end of the displacement body (1), in front of a light- permeable ring (2), in the interior of which a reflector (9) is disposed, an adjustable mirror (6) at the other end in the interior of the displacement body (1), by way of which a signal (16) is reflected into the interior of the shaft (14), and an optical reception (21) and evaluation unit (27) at the end of the shaft. The invention has the advantage that it consists of few parts and therefore can be produced in a cost-advantageous manner, the received signals reliably reach the alarm unit, and information concerning the light- permeability of the optical window is present at all times, so that it can be quickly and easily replaced.
