9 ABSTRACT This invention relates to an overhead cloth spreading machine and in particular to one including a track suspended above a tailoring platform, a sliding block provided with a pulley at both sides thereof, a driving motor fixedly arranged on the sliding block and having on its side a transmission gear which is connected to the transmission gear of the pulley via a chain and a supporting frame having a curved bottom and provided for receiving a roll of cloth, whereby when the driving motor is turned on, the sliding block together with the supporting frame will be moved along the track so as to stretch the cloth on the tailoring platform.
