The invention relates to fibre-reinforced moulded articles, for use, for example, as doors, hoods, linings, partitions, reinforcements or brackets on car body shells, which are moulded from a flat textile structure. Said flat textile structure consists of oriented fibres in unidirectional or bidirectional layers, cut rovings or non-woven, woven or knitted fabrics, consisting of a mixture of staple fibres made of at least two materials. The moulded article comprises a matrix which comprises the resolidified product of plasticized staple fibres made of at least one first thermoplastic, and, embedded in the matrix, oriented fibres in the form of staple fibres made of at least one second material. A softening, melting or decomposition point of the staple fibres made of the second material is greater than the softening or melting point of the first material. The fibre orientation of the second material in the matrix corresponds to the fibre orientation of the flat textile structure.
Corps moulés renforcés par des fibres, qui peuvent être utilisés comme portières, capots, garnitures, cloisons, renforts ou éléments de fixation sur les carrosseries de véhicule, et qui sont formés à partir d'une bande textile plane. Celle-ci est constituée de fibres disposées de façon à former des couches unidirectionnelles, des couches bidirectionnelles, des stratifils découpés, des non-tissés, des textiles tissés ou des tissus à mailles formés d'un mélange de fibres discontinues d'au moins deux matériaux. Le corps moulé est une matrice constituée par le produit d'un mélange de fibres discontinues, resolidifiées à partir d'un état plastique, d'au moins un premier matériau thermoplastique et de fibres discontinues, noyées dans la matrice et orientées, d'au moins un second matériau. Le point de ramollissement, de fusion ou de décomposition des fibres discontinues du second matériau est supérieur au point de ramollissement ou de fusion du premier matériau. L'orientation des fibres du second matériau dans la matrice correspond à l'orientation des fibres dans la bande textile plane.
