The invention concerns a portable electronic device (1) for controlling and managing functions and/or data of a vehicle. Therefor, the portable device comprises, a housing means for wireless transmission and reception of signals for personalized short range communication with the vehicle. It further comprises a microprocessor unit for processing the functions and/or data of the device and of the vehicle, at least one display (3) and manual control means (5, 6). A power source, such as a battery is provided in the housing to supply electric energy to all the electronic components of the device. The manual control means include control keys (5). Each control key can be individually activated by one finger of a user. The control means further include at least one control knob (6) which can be depressed in particular for shifting the control keys (5) and the display (3) from a standby mode to an operating mode.
Le dispositif électronique portable (1) permet de commander et gérer des fonctions et/ou des données d'un véhicule. Pour ce faire, le dispositif portable comprend, dans un boîtier des moyens d'émission et réception sans fil de signaux pour communiquer à courte distance de manière personnalisée avec le véhicule. Il comprend encore une unité à microprocesseur pour traiter des fonctions et/ou des données du dispositif et du véhicule, au moins un écran d'affichage (3) et des moyens de commande manuelle (5,6). Une source d'énergie, telle qu'une pile est prévue dans le boîtier pour alimenter électriquement tous les composants électroniques du dispositif. Les moyens de commande manuelle comprennent des touches de commande (5). Chaque touche de commande peut être individuellement activée par un doigt d'un utilisateur. Les moyens de commande comprennent encore au moins un bouton de commande (6) qui peut être pressé notamment pour faire passer les touches de commande (5) et l'écran d'affichage (3) d'un mode de repos à un mode de fonctionnement.
