An indicating device suitable for indicating the number of metered dosages that have been dispensed from or remain in a container includes a base member adapted to be mounted to the container and a cap member moveably connected to the base member. The cap member is moveable relative to the base member along an axial path. A shaft is non-rotatably mounted to one of the cap member and the base member and defines an axis. An indicator member is rotatably mounted on the shaft and is rotatable in at least a first direction. One of the shaft and the indicator member has a helical groove while the other of the shaft and the indicator member has a follower disposed in the groove. The indicator member is moveable relative to the shaft along the axis as the indicator member is rotated in the first direction. In another embodiment, the indicating device includes first, second and third indicator members. In yet another embodiment, the indicating device includes a housing having a longitudinally extending cavity shaped to receive the container and an indicator member disposed in the cavity and having a longitudinally extending wall shaped to surround at least a portion of the container. The indicator member is rotatably mounted within the housing and is rotatable relative thereto about a longitudinal axis. The indicator member includes a driven gear. A drive gear is disposed in the housing and includes a drive portion selectively engaged with the driven gear. An actuator is adapted to move with the container and is selectively engaged with the drive gear.
L'invention concerne un dispositif indicateur apte à indiquer le nombre de doses mesurées ayant été distribuées par un contenant ou restant dans ce dernier. Ce dispositif comporte un organe de base adapté pour se monter sur le contenant et un organe formant bouchon relié mobile audit organe de base. Cet organe formant bouchon est mobile par rapport à l'organe de base suivant une trajectoire axiale. Un arbre est monté non rotatif sur l'organe formant bouchon ou l'organe de base et définit un axe. Un organe indicateur est monté rotatif sur cet arbre et peut tourner dans au moins un premier sens. L'un de l'arbre et de l'organe indicateur possède une rainure hélicoïdale tandis que l'autre de l'arbre et de l'organe indicateur est doté d'un suiveur disposé dans cette rainure. Cet organe indicateur est mobile par rapport à l'arbre suivant ledit axe lorsqu'il est mis en rotation dans ledit premier sens. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le dispositif indicateur comprend des premier, deuxième et troisième organes indicateurs. Dans encore un autre mode de réalisation, ledit dispositif indicateur comporte une structure creuse pourvue d'une cavité s'étendant longitudinalement et conformée pour recevoir le contenant ainsi qu'un organe indicateur disposé dans ladite cavité, et munie également d'une paroi s'étendant longitudinalement et conformée pour entourer au moins une partie du contenant. L'organe indicateur est monté rotatif à l'intérieur de cette structure creuse par rapport à laquelle il peut tourner autour d'un axe longitudinal. Ledit organe indicateur renferme un pignon mené. Un pignon de commande est disposé dans la structure creuse et présente une partie d'entraînement s'engrenant sélectivement dans le pignon mené. Un actionneur est adapté pour se déplacer avec le contenant et s'engrène sélectivement dans le pignon de commande.
