An electrical generator has a plurality of mutually spaced magnets (62,64) that move together relative to at least one coil (82,84) to generate an electrical signal in the coils. Equal numbers of magnets and coils, with equal lengths and spacings between them, are preferably employed. Significant enhancements in power output are achieved by orienting successive magnets in magnetic op~position to each other, so that the magnetic fields from successive magnets along the axis of movement substan~tially cancel each other at locations between the mag~nets.

La présente invention concerne un générateur électrique comportant une pluralité d'aimants (62, 64) espacés les uns des autres, qui se déplacent ensemble par rapport à au moins une bobine (82, 84) de manière à générer un signal électrique dans les bobines. De préférence on utilise un nombre équivalent d'aimants et de bobines, ayant des longueurs identiques et des distances d'écartement mutuel identiques. Il est possible d'obtenir des accroissements significatifs de la puissance de sortie en orientant les aimants successifs en opposition magnétique les uns avec les autres, de sorte que les champs magnétiques provenant d'aimants successifs le long de l'axe de déplacement s'annulent sensiblement les uns les autres au niveau d'emplacements situés entre les aimants.
