A circuit arrangement for igniting and operating a high-pressure discharge lamp, provided with switching means, inductive means, and rectifying means together forming a Buck converter connected to input terminals for connection to a supply source and output terminals for connection of the means comprising the lamp so as to supply the lamp with a current through periodic switching of the switching means alternately into a conducting and a non-conducting state, the Buck converter operating in a self-oscillatory mode during stable lamp operation. According to the invention, the circuit arrangement is provided with means for causing the Buck converter to operate in a forced oscillatory mode in dependence on the lamp condition.
La présente invention concerne un montage de circuit permettant d'allumer et de mettre en oeuvre une lampe à décharge haute pression. Ce circuit comprend un commutateur, un inducteur et un redresseur formant ensemble un convertisseur abaisseur de tension. Ce convertisseur, raccordé aux bornes d'entrée pour la connexion à une source d'alimentation, et aux bornes de sortie pour la connexion à ces organes ainsi qu'avec la lampe, alimente en courant la lampe par basculement du commutateur alternant entre état conducteur et état non conducteur. En fonctionnement stabilisé de la lampe, le convertisseur abaisseur de tension fonctionne en mode d'oscillation auto-entretenue. L'invention concerne également un montage de circuit permettant au convertisseur abaisseur de tension de fonctionner en un mode d'oscillation forcée qui tienne compte de l'état de la lampe.
