A domestic range having an oven and a cooktop. The cooktop includes a glass-ceramic panel, a plurality of heating elements and at least one warming element. Each of the elements is disposed beneath the panel. The warming element is of a relatively lower power rating than any of the heating elements. The warming element is located toward a rear, center portion of the cooktop and the heating elements are located relatively toward corners of the cooktop.
