A poke-through device for installation in a hole extending through a floor structure of a building includes a body having upper and lower ends and sized for insertion within the hole. The upper end of the body defines an interface mounting region and the lower end is adapted to electrically communicate with a junction box. One or more electrical interfaces can be mounted in the interface mounting region, the interfaces being electrical outlets and/or data jacks. The device also includes a cover assembly having a floor plate and at least one access door, the door being movable between a closed position enclosing the interface within the device, and an open position providing access to the interface through the hole.
Dispositif de service destiné à être installé dans un trou qui traverse le plancher d'un bâtiment; le dispositif comprend un corps muni d'extrémités supérieures et inférieures et dont les dimensions permettent son insertion dans le trou. La partie supérieure du corps définit une région de montage de contact, et la partie inférieure est adaptée pour pouvoir être reliée électriquement à une boîte de connexion. Une ou plusieurs liaisons électriques peuvent être posées sur la région de montage de contact, les interfaces comportant des sorties électriques et/ou des prises de transmission de données. Le dispositif comprend également un couvercle muni d'une plaque de plancher et au moins une porte d'accès, cette dernière pouvant être fermée pour protéger l'interface du dispositif, ou ouverte pour donner accès à l'interface au travers du trou.
