The present invention relates to a spacer for use with containers for spacing the bottom of the container from a supporting surface. The spacer is non-corroding, fits onto the bottom of the container by firmly contacting andattaching to the bottom of the container thereby providing a stable base, and prevents rust by isolating the container from the supporting surface and allowing airflow and drainage between the container and the spacer, and airflow and drainage between the spacer and the supporting surface.
