ABSTRACT This invention concerns synergistic compositions useful in the control or eradication of Ixodid ticks comprising a cyclopropanecarboxylic acid ester of formula I Image I and at least one organophosphorus compound. As a further feature the invention provides a process for the prevention of infestation by, or the control of infestations of, Ixodid ticks, and especially strains of the cattle tick Boophilus microplus.
