ABSTRACT Electrolyte is dissolved in the aqueous phase of a two-phase system of water and an organic liquid used as an agitation medium for agglomerating finely ground poly- tetrafluoroethylene particles, the dissolved electrolyte re- ducing the electrostatic charge present on the resultant agglomerates after drying. The reduced electrostatic charge on the agglomerates increases their flowability. Particulate filler can be present during the agitation process to become agglomerated together with the polytetrafluoroethylene, and the dissolved electrolyte will also reduce the electrostatic charge on these agglomerates.
