ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for setting the admittances of matching base units for use with whip antennas wherein the matching base unit is placed across a cavity resonator which is first calibrated in accordance with the admit- tances of a standard matching base unit through a range of prescribed frequencies and thereafter aligning the admittances of production model matching base units over the same range of frequencies in accordance with the previously calibrated or aligned cavity resonator.
