COPPER-AND-ZINC-ACTIVATED STRONTIUM SULFIDE PHOSPHORS Abstract Copper-and-zinc-activated strontium sulfide phos- phors are both photoluminescent and cathodoluminescent. The incorporation of 0.001 to 0.100 mole zinc, per mole strontium, shifts the emission peak of the phosphor from about 5280 angstroms for the zinc-free phosphor to about 5380 angstroms for the maximum amount of incorporated zinc. Up to 1000- weight-part aluminum per million weight parts strontium sulfide may also be incorporated.
