ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a method for a dynamic test for loading a foundation, such as for example a pile "in situ" as well as to apparatus for carrying out the method. The apparatus comprises means for releasing a quantity of energy, a damper device for accumulating and then retransmitting this energy to the head of the pile and means for measuring and calculating at any instant the load applied to the pile and the movement of the head of the pile. Another feature of the invention is that the energy restored by the damper device is recovered, that it is supplemented in order to reconstitute a new quantity of energy for the purpose of a new test.
