Process for the preparation of thieno- pyridine derivatives ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to a process for the preparation of thieno-pyridine derivatives having the formulas: Image or Image (I) (II) in which R1 is hydrogen or alkyl having 1-6 carbon atoms; R2 is hydrogen or acyl or alkylaminocarbonyl and R3 is an alkyl of 1-18 carbon atoms, benzyl or aralkyl group optionally substituted with at least an ester, oxo or nitrile group, a halogen atom or an alkoxy or nitro group; an acyl radical optionally substituted with at least a halogen atom or an amino, alkoxy phenoxy or pyrrolidino group; or a sulfonyl, aminocarbonyl or aminothiocarbonyl group, their acid addition salts and their quaternary ammonium salts. Said derivatives have useful anti-inflammatory properties and inhibiting effects on blood plate aggregation which make them therapeutically valuable. - 1 -
