12,204 A PROCESS FOR HYDROLYZING ALKYLENE OXIDES TO ALKYLENE GLYCOLS ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE There is described herein a process for hydrolyzing alkylene oxides to alkylene glycols in the presence of CO2, and a particular non-halogen containing catalyst. The reaction is effected under a carbon dioxide pressure of less than about 350 psig and a reaction temperature between about 85°C and 400°C.
