ABSTRACT Disclosed in a disc brake assembly for vehicles such as trucks, tractor-trailers, and the like, wherein the braking operation of each shoe array with the disc is pneumatically controlled through the means of an annular expansible or flexible bladder, with the disc- shoe initial clearance being hydraulically set by means of the same bladder. The bladder comprises an annular main body with substantially planar sidewalls, a central opening, a first and a second chambers defined in main body isolated one from another for receiving fluid, first and second fluid inlet means for introducing fluid to said respective chambers, said chambers being arranged side-by-side so that the introduction of fluid to said chambers causes said first and said second sidewalls to move apart.
