ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention disclosed is for new improved strippable hydrophilic crosslinked polyurethane foams prepared by reacting an isocyanate capped polyoxyethylene polyol re- actant with large amounts of an aqueous reactant. The resultant foams are applied onto a substrate and effect- ively provide protection prior to use. The strippable coating is easily removed without damage to the substrate.
