UTILITY CARRIER AND SKI RACK Abstract of the Disclosure There is disclosed herein an enclosure adapted to be removably secured to a portion of an automotive vehicle which affords an owner thereof a means for significantly increasing the cargo carrying capacity of his vehicle. The enclosure is provided with means interiorly thereof which are adapted to cooperate with means provided on a portion of the vehicle to which the carrier is to be mounted and thus affords a high degree of security as access to the interior of the enclosure must first be obtained before the carrier may be removed from the vehicle. The enclosure is suitable for carrying a wide variety of articles and if desired may be designed as a ski rack providing an enclosed area in which portions of the skis such as the bindings may be positioned thereby protecting such bindings from adverse conditions, snow and ice which may be encountered during transportation thereof. A locking arrangement may also be provided on the enclosure to prevent unauthorized opening of the enclosure thereby further increasing the security afforded by the carrier.
