Abstract of the Disclosure In the process of isolating the protein fraction of oilseed materials for the purpose of enhancing the adhesive qualities of said protein, lipoidal substances and particu- larly those capable of imparting surface active or surfactant functionality are employed. Not only are higher coating color solid levels permissible at the desired viscosity but addi- tionally, the characteristic pigment-shock, a well-known problem with using water soluble adhesives such as oilseed protein in coating formulations, is negated.
