Abstract of the Disclosure A programmable dual-in-line header for a printed circuit board comprises an insulating frame formed with one or more tool admitting apertures and a series of electrically conductive post pairs anchored in the frame to depend therefrom in spaced apart relation. The posts of each pair are spaced apart on opposite sides of the or each aperture and are connected at anchored ends by a strap portion extending across the or each aperture. Portions of some of the straps have been formed by a tool admitted into the respective aperture to define tabs extending from the posts. Pairs of tabs may be used as terminals to connect components between the posts. Other portions of the straps may be removed by a suitable tool to provide an open circuit between a selected pair or pairs of posts.
