Abstract: The invention relates to a humidity detecting porcelain resistor element. At least one portion of an electrode of the element forms a resistance heating unit and the electrode serves both as the resistance heating unit and a humidity detecting electrode. Heating and cleaning operations of the humidity detecting resistor can be uniformly and efficiently performed by means of the resistance heating unit, thus ensuring stable humidity detection. Also, the circuit construction of a humidity detecting apparatus containing the element can be simplified.
