ABSTRACT This invention relates to a device useful for the thermal and acoustic insulation of existing windows and compri- ses an adjustable frame having hollow metal sections connected by elements inserted therein and spacer sections covering the connecting elements between the sections, a pane of glass, and an edge moulding for securing the pane with the moulding in seal- ing engagement with the frame. The frame sections are all of similar cross-sectional dimension to provide a uniform frame contour.
