STATEMENT OF THE INVENTION This invention relates to novel compositions having improved resistance to solvents or oils and which are therefore particularly adaptable for preparing footwear tread members. The novel compositions comprise a polystyrene - polybutadiene - polystyrene block copolymer, an extender oil or plasticizer, a polystyrene material and a halogenated polyethylene polymer in an amount effective to provide improved resistance to solvents and oils.
