Abstract: 4-Amino-2-ureido-(or -thioureido)-pyrimidine-5- carboxylic acid anilides of the general formula I Image (I) in which the substituents R1 to R8 and X and n have the indicated meanings, which, as such or in the form of their physiologically acceptable acid addition salts, possess valuable pharmacological properties, processes for their preparation, pharmaceutical preparations based on these compounds and their use as medicaments, especi- ally in the treatment of adiposity and disturbances of the lipometabolism. The invention also relates to 2,4-diamino-pyrimidine-5-carbanilides of the general formula V Image which can be used to prepare compounds of the formula I, and also processes for their preparation.
