ABSTRACT A process for porducing by at least two successive injec- tions safety footwear such as boots, clogs, ankle-boots or the like, of the type comprising at least one metal sole, this pro- cess employing an injection mould provided with two openable parts and a base including two interchangeable slabs each of which slabs has a mould cavity and a last. The process com- prises coating both sides of the metal sole with adhesive, fixing the metal sole on a first of the slabs corresponding to the first injection so that the metal sole is at a distance from the last when the injection mould is closed and provides between the mould cavity of the first slab and the last a gap corresponding to the thickness of an insole of the footwear which insole is produced by the first injection, thereafter stripping said first slab and bringing into facing relation to an exposed side of the metal sole a second of the slabs for injecting an outsole of the footwear which outsole will cover the exposed side of the metal sole. The metal sole is fixed on the first slab by means of at least two withdrawable finger members which project into the mould cavity of the slab, the metal sole comprising at least two notches located in two opposed portions of its periphery, the distance between the finger members being slightly less than the distance between the two notches of the metal sole so that the metal sole can be set and positioned on the first slab by means of flexibility of the metal sole and by the hooking of the finger members in the notches. The distance between the metal sole and the last is obtained by means of at least one spacer pin which is fixed under a lower face of the last said pin projecting to an extent equal to the thickness of the insole produced by the first injection. And an injection mould for carrying out this process.
