ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Phenoxy-phenoxypropionic acid derivatives of the formula Image ( I ) wherein R is hydrogen or halogen, and R1 is substituted alkyl, cyclohexenyl, phenylalkenyl or (substituted) alkinyl, are in- teresting selective herbicides havinq a special activity against weed grasses They are obtained for example by reaction of corresponding phenoxypropionic acid halides with hydroxy com- pounds of the formula HO-R1.
