ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE This invention relates to making dense, spherical particles of vinyl plastisol resins by means of a suspension polymerization procedure. The dense, spherical particles or beads have a diameter of about 10 to about 100 microns and are made in an aqueous medium containing a free-radicai yielding polymerization catalyst and in the presence of polyvinyl alcohol as a suspending agent, and a surfactant having a hydrophile- lipophile balance (HLB) less than about 3.5. The suspension vinyl resins so produced are easily and uniformly mixed with a plasticizer to form low viscosity plastisols which are stable containing particles of uniform and proper size and capable of producing films, and like products, of good clarity.
