GRIFFIN MULTIPLE LAYERED CONNECTOR A B S T R A C T A connector for a printed wiring board wherein a portion of a multiple layered cable extends into the connector housing and comprises a plurality of stepped layers each of which comprises a plurality of contacts. The end of the printed wiring board which is inserted into such connector also comprises a plurality of stepped layers each of which comprises a plurality of contacts. The stepped layers and rows of contacts of the connector mate with the stepped layers and rows of contacts of the printed wiring board to effect an electrical interface between the connector and board.
