ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device adapted to be mounted or incorporated in a load carrying vehicle for securely anchoring a load thereto. The device includes a jacking member connected to a balance arm for moving the same and a pair of lever arms pivotally anchorable at one end relative to the frame of the vehicle and having their free outer ends swingable in an arc about their pivotable anchorage by way of the jacking member. Means are provided for connecting anchor lines to respective ones of the lever arms adjacent the free outer ends of the lever arms and means connecting the balance arm to respective ones of the lever arms at a position between opposite ends thereof and on opposite sides of the jacking member.
