ABSTRACT Benzylidene derivatives of the formula: Image (I) in which n and m are each 1, 2 or 3, R1 is a hydrogen or halogen atom, R2 is a hydrogen or halogen atom, R3 and R4 independently of one another are each a hydrogen atom or an alkyl or acyl radical, R5 is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl radical, and R6 is an amino alkylamino. dialkylamino or hydroxyalkylamino group. or a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic ring which can contain another hetero-atom and can carry an alkyl radical, the said alkyl radicals having from 1 to 4 carbon atoms, are useful in therapy in the treatment of, for example. epilepsy, convulsions and anxiety. They may be made by reaction of a compound of the formula: Image (III) with an amino compound of formula Image or the hydrochloride thereof.
