A B S T R A C T The invention relates to a fishing hook and a line snood head so formed as to be adapted to co-operate in removably securing the hook to the head. The end of the neck portion of the hook is provided with a thickened portion insertable into a cavity at one end of the head, the entrace of the cavity having a passage of a reduced diameter to prevent the thickened portion from escaping from the cavity. The walls of the passage are resiliently yieldable so as to enable broadening of the passage when a rounded leading end of thickened portion is inserted into same, to thus allow passage of the thickened portion into the cavity.
