ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A constant feed apparatus for feeding a dry powdery, fibrous or light material. The apparatus comprises a straight tubular housing having a circumferential wall and a bottom wall. At least one rotary arm rotates in the tubular housing and has a lower edge moving in proximity to the bottom wall and to the lower end of the circumferential wall. The tubular housing has a discharge opening in a portion of the housing wall along which the rotary arm moves. A trans- verse frame means extends across the housing and spaced above the rotary arm and has sufficient opening therethrough that the material being fed is caused to form a shoft bridge across the tubular housing at the transverse frame means.
