ABSTRACT The invention refers to a system for measuring the heat transmission coefficient k for a wall portion separating medias having different temperatures, making use of temperature sensing means which are connected to an evaluation device. Such systems are commonly used for determining the insulation of house walls, but the priorly known systems are complicated as well as expensive The purpose of the invention is to provide a handy, simple and unexpensive system for measuring the heat transmission in whole wall areas, windows and doors. This purpose is, in a preferred embodiment of the invention, realized by the provision of a first thermocouple (7) for measuring the inner or room tempera- ture ti, mounted at a housing for the system, and a second thermocouple (7) for measuring the inner wall temperature tv, mounted at the end of a probe for contacting the inner wall, the two thermocouples being interconnected to provide a signal proportional to the temperature difference ti-tv to an opera- tional amplifier (1). The amplifier constitutes said evalua- tion device and has its output connected to an indicating instrument (3). There are also means for indicating the inner temperature ti as well as the outer temperature tu to the user. A feed-back path is connected between the output and the input of the amplifier (1) and includes a manually adjustable poten- tiometer (5) for providing an amplification of said signal, which is inversely proportional to ti-tu, as determined by the setting of the potentiometer to the temperature difference ti-tu. Thereby, the output signal from the amplifier will be A(ti-tv)/(ti-tu), equivalent with the heat transmission coefficient k, where A is a constant chosen to express said output signal as the numerical k value on the indicating instrument.
