ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A means for reinforcing the pharmacological action of medicaments is disclosed. It is known to bond medicaments with serum proteins, However, the disadvantage of this bond is that after discontinuance of a treatment, large quantities of a medi- cament may remain in the system for a prolonged period. The pre- sent means for reinforcing the action of medicaments and the part which can be ultrafiltered from serum is greater in the presence of the medium than it is without this, characterized in that it consists of orotic acid (1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-2,6 -dioxopyrimidine- 4-carbonic acid) and/or a physiologically compatible orotic acid salt.
